We are looking to hire a Senior Commercial PV Design Engineer with a proven track record in the solar industry to lead our commercial team.

Role and Responsibilities:
Working from our Glebe office, you will be responsible for pre-sales and post -sales Solar PV Designs, delivering professional technical analysis and detailed construction designs. We are looking for an individual that strong experience in two of these three fields being Ground Mount Systems, PV+ Storage and Car Ports.
Designs will range from 100kW to Multi MW projects for businesses, schools and Governments. You will work directly with Sales Consultants on pre-sales process and Project Managers on after-sales designs.
A strong background in engineering (Civil, Building, Mechanical and/or Electrical), a sharp critical sense and a methodical approach are all essential for this role. This role is for a proactive person with initiative, who takes pride and satisfaction from finding the right engineering solution using the best practices. You will also be required to meet rigorous internal standards to the level of the 43kW system recently delivery to the Australian Parliament House.
Experience in technical renewable solutions and photovoltaic engineering qualifications are essential.

Following are some of the role requirements and responsibilities:
• Strong experience in two of these three fields being Ground Mount Systems, PV+ Storage and Car Ports.
• Analysis of projects to ensure all site/system particulars
• Producing technical drawing and system information to submit complicated Grid Connect applications to utilities around the country.
• Assessing final technical design to confirm or modify the original design
• Anticipate and solve any potential difficulty before the installation team starts the job
• Product research and testing to meet special needs (difficult roofs, specific customer requirements)
• Maintain and check compliance with all relevant standards and certifications
• Develop and maintain a systematic approach of projects
• Hand-over of final specifications to Project Planner and Sales Rep for cost and timeframe confirmation
• Work with management in a strategic capacity to design technical process and methodologies for the growth of the business
• The ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Creative thinking to find best technical and commercial solutions

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Engineering Degree including mechanical, electrical and civil engineering, preferably in photovoltaic
• Minimum 3 years technical industry experience
• A commercial and business understanding
• Meticulous organisational skills
• A can do and collaborative attitude
• Reliable and autonomous
