Orientation of Solar Power Systems
Orientation of Solar Power Systems
Ideally, solar energy systems face south.

A Solar Power System should be orientated towards the south, but it is not necessary for it to be mounted facing exactly south. Even when a Roof-Mounted Solar Power System deviates from the exact south-facing direction (180°) by up to 30°, the energy yield losses remain minimal. The collectors can be inclined anywhere from 20° to 60°. Smaller tilt-angles increase the energy output during the summer, while larger tilt-angles increase the energy output during the winter.
