Roof Integration
Roof Integration
Solar cell tiles make the optimal integration of photovoltaic systems possible.

Again and again, aesthetic considerations take precedence over photovoltaic systems. Collectors and solar panels are considered ‘ugly’ or bothersome, yet solar collectors and PV systems have been developed to be built into roof-tops in aesthetically pleasing ways. Collectors have been designed for direct roof-top integration and, when combined with other components of a roof-top, they look good and are easy to install. Within the context of large areas of roof to be integrated, collectors can even replace conventional roofing and thereby make a noteworthy contribution to cost reductions. In the case of new building projects, co-operation between architects and Solar technology experts is recommended, allowing the PV system not only to be effective, but also attractive. Photovoltaic systems can even be made practically unnoticeable with the use of a newly developed solar tile whose module mimics the appearance of a traditional tile. The overall impression of Buildings with such roofs remains unaffected – even historical buildings could be outfitted with such a photovoltaic system.
