U.S. PV inverter manufacturer Solectria Renewables LLC hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on March 18^th, 2011 celebrating its 800MW manufacturing capacity expansion at its facility in Lawrence, MA.

The celebration was attended by distinguished Commonwealth of Massachusetts officials including Niki Tsongas, Congresswoman, 5^th District; Phil Giudice, Energy Undersecretary, Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs; Mark Silvia, Commissioner, DOER; and Barry Finegold, State Senator.

“It is an honor to be a part of this celebration,” said Congresswoman Niki Tsongas. “Solectria’s expansion in Lawrence is creating clean energy jobs in our own backyard while promoting reliable, domestically produced sources of energy.”

Total number of employees increased by 195%,

Since 2009, Solectria Renewables on own account has contributed to clean energy jobs by increasing its total number of employees by 195%, its professional staff by 140% inclusive of engineering, its customer service staff with technicians by 200%, and manufacturing jobs by 240%

“This expansion brings more good news to the Massachusetts clean energy sector. The Commonwealth congratulates Solectria Renewables for creating and maintaining local manufacturing and professional jobs,” Energy Undersecretary for the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, Phil Giudice, said.

“With the Patrick Administration’s unwavering support and the strongest framework for clean energy in the country, Massachusetts continues to emerge as a national center for clean energy technology development.”
