SolarBridge wins Gold Edison award for PV microinverter

On April 5th, 2011, the 2011 Edison Best New Product Awards recognized SolarBridge Technologies Inc. (Austin, Texas, U.S.) with a gold Edison award for its solar photovoltaic (PV) microinverter product, technological innovation and business strategy.
The company notes that it has also been named a finalist in the EE Times Annual Creativity in Electronics (ACE) awards, as well as being selected as a Top 300 startup by fundedIDEAS.

SolarBridge offers "AC module" system
SolarBridge's gold Edison award is in the Energy and Sustainability category - sustainable power systems segment. Energy and Sustainability is one of twelve categories honored by the Edison Awards.
SolarBridge's AC module system features its Pantheon microinverter, which is attached to a PV module by the manufacturer to create a PV module with AC output. The company notes that its Pantheon microinverter is one of the first integrated microinverters to offer a 25-year warranty, similar to the modules to which it is attached.
