On May 26th, 2011, Solectria Renewables LLC (Lawrence, Massachusetts, U.S.) introduced a remote cellular phone option for its web-based inverter monitoring solution.

The company states that SolrenView AIR is factory installed and configured for easier start-up, and like the web-based SolrenView allows for real-time reporting of solar photovoltaic (PV) system production.

“Our customers love our SolrenView monitoring product," stated Solectria Renewables President Phil Vyhanek. "We are thrilled to extend this service to them regardless of internet availability."

Option available for PVI and SGI Series customers

The product will also alert a system owner via email and cell phone alerts if a PV system issue arises.

The company states that the option is available for PVI 60/82/95kW and SGI Series customers when standard internet access is not readily available, or in environments where network security is critical.
