PROINSO sells 303 MW of PV products in 2011

- PROINSO has reached 390 MW of cumulative PV module sales and 725 MW of inverter sales in the 2005-2011 period
On January 23rd, 2012 PROINSO SL (Fustiñana, Spain) announced that it delivered 197 MW of inverters and 106 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules for PV plants in five continents in 2011.
The company also notes that 88% of this product was exported from Spain, whereas in 2008 100% of the company's sales had been to the Spanish market. Europe and North America represented 83% of sales, with "emerging" markets representing a 5% share.
"We expect our bid on international expansion to be successful in terms of rise in sales, with a 15% share in these emerging markets over the next years and a reduction of the share of European markets in terms of global sales," states PROINSO Marketing Manager Teresa Marticorena.
1.11 GW of product sold from 2005-2011
The company states that the 303 MW of 2011 sales brings it to a total of 1.11 GW of product sold in the 2005-2011 period.
PROINSO notes that it has sold PV modules and inverters in a number of emerging markets, including Croatia, Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Turkey, Australia, Colombia, Mexico, Brazil and India. The company estimates that it sold 35 MW of PV products in India so far.
1,900 companies in PROINSO Qualified installer network
PROINSO has branches in Spain, Germany, Greece, Italy, the US, the UK, France, Canada, China, and the Czech Republic, as well as reaching 1,900 companies in its Qualified Installer Network.
The company notes that it has agreements to distribute modules made by Trina Solar Ltd. (Changzhou, China), Canadian Solar Inc. (Kitchener, Canada), SCHOTT Solar AG (Mainz, Germany) and REC ASA (Sandvika, Norway), as well an agreement to distribut SMA Solar Technology AG (Niestetal, Germany) inverters.
