T-Solar Group (Madrid, Spain) has commissioned a 12.3 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in the Indian state of Gujarat.

The plant in Nayaka, Gujarat comprises 96,900 PV modules on a 36.4 hectare site. This is T-Solar's second plant in the nation, following the commissioning of a 5 MW PV plant in Rajasthan, and together the two plants represent a EUR 34 million (USD 46 million) investment.

T-Solar notes that its plant in Rajasthan was the first to be commissioned in India by a Spanish company, as well as one of the first under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM). The company currently has over 284 MW of PV plants in operation or development in four continents.
