Ekotechnik plans solar PV plants totaling 160 MW in Western Ukraine

- The PV plants will be located in Khmelnitsky Oblast
Ekotechnik Czech (Prague, Czech Republic) plans to invest EUR 400 million (USD 530 million) in the construction of 160 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) plants in Khmelnytskyi Oblast, Ukraine.
The company has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Khmelnytskyi Oblast Administration outlining its intentions. Ekotechnik plans to build PV plants in 14 districts, and Ukrainian authorities will lease roughly 400 hectares to the company for this purpose.
Ekotechnik holds 220 MW portfolio in Ukraine
The company estimates that construction and operation of the PV plants will offer 230 new jobs and increase annual revenues to local budgets by USD 4.4 million.
Ekotechnik built its first 5 MW PV plant in the Ukraine in Yasenovka, Khmelnytskyi region. The company plans to build PV plants in other regions of Ukraine, and holds a development portfolio of 220 MW.
Ukraine has build 20 MW PV plants with a total capacity of 270 MW in Ukraine, including the 105 MW Perovo plant.
