JinkoSolar to supply CTGNE with 600 MW of PV modules
- The modules will be used to build PV plants in Western China
JinkoSolar Holding Company Ltd. (Shanghai, China) has entered into an agreement to supply China Three Gorges New Energy Corporation (CTGNE) with 600 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules over the next three years.
JinkoSolar says that the modules will be used in PV projects in Western China, but provided few additional details.
"We are very pleased to sign this long term large contract and to further extend our cooperation with CTGNE, one of the largest and fastest growing developers of renewable energy projects in China, following our previous 50MW contract with CTGNE we announced in October 2012," commented JinkoSolar Chairman Xiande Li.
"China is becoming a major and fast growing market for solar PV modules, and we believe that our strategic cooperation with CTGNE reflects CTGNE’s confidence in the advanced technology, high quality, and reliability of our products."
A number of analysts have predicted that the Chinese PV market will be the world's largest in 2013.
