Canadian Solar to partner with Strata Solar on 85 MW of solar PV projects in North Carolina
- The companies expect to commission the Fuquay Farm by the end of February 2013
Canadian Solar Inc. (Guelph, Canada) has partnered with Strata Solar LLC (Chapel Hill, North Carolina, US) to develop 15 solar photovoltaic (PV) plants totaling 85 MW in the US state of North Carolina.
The first project to be commissioned will be the 6.4 MW Fuquay Farm PV plant, which the company expects to commission by the end of February 2013. Canadian Solar will additionally invest in Strata Solar.

Entire portfolio to be completed in 2013
The portfolio of 15 PV projects consists mostly of 6 MW utility-scale PV plants, as well as a 1 MW and a 3 MW PV plant. The companies plan to stagger construction throughout the year with the entire portfolio to be completed by the end of 2013.
