The OPDE Group (Navara, Spain), a multinational solar company specialising in the development, investment, construction and operation of solar photovoltaic (PV) farms, is going to begin the construction of a new 5 MWp solar farm near the little municipality of Low Bentham, North Yorkshire County, north of the country.

According to the information given by the company, it is expected that the works will begin in October and are to be completed in 2016.

Once connected to the grid, the new PV plant will generate solar power equivalent to the energy consumption of 1,335 homes.

Once the new plant is completed, OPDE will have accumulated near 100 MWp PV capacity built in England, a country in which the company has increased considerably its activity in the years 2015 and 2016.
