Schneider Electric presents new utility-scale PV inverter at EU PVSEC

- Schneider's Xantrex GT630 E Inverter
Schneider Electric SA (Rueil-Malmaison, France) presents a number of new product lines for the solar photovoltaic (PV) industry at the 25th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (EU PVSEC) in Valencia, Spain. Among these products presented by Schneider at EU PVSEC will be a new inverter for utility-scale PV installations. "We’re excited at the opportunity to showcase Schneider Electric solutions at EU PVSEC to our existing and future customers", says Schneider Electric Senior Vice President, Renewable Energies Business Ted Campbell. "Our line of inverters, switchgear, monitoring and security products offer high value for markets such as solar farms, large commercial, residential, off-grid and backup power."
Schneider Electric Xantrex Inverter
Among the products showcased at EU PVSEC will be the Schneider Electric Xantrex GT630 E Central Inverter, which Schneider claims can reach an efficiency of 98.6% using insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) technology. Schneider notes that the Xantrex GT630 E can be integrated with the Schneider Electric PV box, a package solution that is available in customizable configurations from 250KW to 2MW.
Rooftop installation kits and inverters/chargers
Other Schneider Electric products to be showcased include a rooftop installation kit for the Spanish market and inverters/chargers. The newly launched PV kit for rooftop installations includes a Schneider DC/AC junction box, Xantrex grid-connected inverters and an optional monitoring solution.
Schneider's Xantrex XW Inverters/Chargers are offered in power levels from 4KW to 6KW in an expandable configuration that allows for future system growth up to 36KW, and can be used in either off-grid or grid-tied with battery backup applications.
