Photovoltaics: US producer Satcon delivers inverters for 1 MW solar energy project by Suntech Energy Solutions

Satcon Technology Corporation (Boston, MA), a provider of utility scale distributed power solutions for the renewable energy market, on December 9th, 2008 announced that it had been chosen to partner with large-scale photovoltaic (PV) systems installer Suntech Energy Solutions (San Francisco, CA), a wholly owned subsidiary of Suntech Power Holdings Co., Ltd. (Wuxi, China). Satcon will help to power a one megawatt (MW) solar energy installation hosted at The North Face West Coast Distribution Center in Visalia, California, according to the press release. This recently completed project is financed, owned, and operated by Recurrent Energy Inc. (San Francisco, CA) and features Satcon’s 500 kilowatt (kW) "PowerGate Plus" PV inverters.

 

 

 

Growing adoption of large scale solar installations in the U.S.
