First concentrating solar thermal cooling plant in South Africa commissioned

Industrial Solar GmbH (Freiburg, Germany) in June, 2014 commissioned the first concentrating solar thermal cooling system in South Africa at the MTN (Mobile TelephoneNetworks) Headquarter in Johannesburg. The Fresnel-collector with a thermal peak power of 272 kW is now connected to the district cooling system at the head office of MTN.
