The German company RW Energy GmbH develops the tracking systems s:wheel® and s:track© and the open-space installation system s:fix©. The patent-pending s:wheel® of RWenergy GmbH is an industrially manufactured, highly variable solar tracking system for medium to large solar power plants. It combines the advantages of a stationary installation with the extra output of a tracking system. With s:wheel® it is possible to obtain completely shadow-free modules with an extra output of up to 30 percent. The remarkable solar tracker is also a ground-based and therefore wind-resistant system for uniaxial tracking. When fully covered, the s:wheel can contain 265 m² of module surface area; depending on module efficiency, that could amount up to 36 kW per unit.
