Coating, Selective

In order to reduce losses due to heat emission, highly efficient absorbers are provided with selective coatings, i.e. black chrome, black nickel, or black crystal, which reduce radiation heat losses. This makes it possible to absorb and transform a large part of the short-wave Solar Radiation into heat, and, simultaneously, the emission of the long-wave heat radiation from the Absorber itself is significantly reduced. Absorbers with selective coatings exhibit heat radiation losses of 10 to 40%. When colors like gold or blue are used for selective coatings, then the Efficiency will be slightly reduced.
