Advanced Energy solar inverters used in award-winning 6 MW PV plant in Pennsylvania

On March 13th, 2013, Advanced Energy Industries Inc. (AE, Fort Collins, Colorado, US) announced that it supplied its utility-scale AE 500NX-HE inverters for the Keystone solar PV project in Pennsylvania, which was named as "Project of Distinction" at the 2013 PV America East solar conference by the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and the Solar Electric Power Association (SEPA).

Keystone is a 6 megawatt (MW) ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) plant, which uses 10 AE 500NX-HE utility-scale solar inverters.

Throughout North America our reliable, high-value solar inverters are helping project stakeholders achieve a greater return on their solar energy investments," AE Solar Energy President Gordon Tredger stated.

The AE 500NX-HE is a highly efficient solar inverter specifically designed to meet the requirements of large commercial and utility-scale solar power plants with the lowest levelized cost of energy (LCOE), according to the company.

The plant is managed by Bright Plain Renewable Energy LLC, developed by Community Energy Solar, and built by groSolar. At the time of completion in September 2012, the solar plant was the largest in Pennsylvania.
