Conergy AG (Hamburg, Germany) will supply 15.3 MW of its “P-Series” solar photovoltaic (PV) modules for PV projects in the United Kingdom.

Solaer SL (Motilla Del Palancar, Spain) will use the modules to build PV plants between 2.2 and 5.8 MW in size. A 5.8 MW and a 2.2 MW PV plant will be built in Somerset, as well as a 4 MW project in Devon and a 3.3 MW PV plant in Buckinghamshire.

“We have already worked on 40 MW of solar projects together, including a 5 MW project in Cornwall in the UK last summer,” states Solaer Managing Director Ignacio Arganza.

“Conergy has extensive knowledge of the UK, and we needed an experienced partner on whom we could rely on one hundred percent. This know-how and the excellent experience we have had with Conergy in the past tipped the scales.”

Conergy expresses confidence in UK market

Conergy has been active in the United Kingdom since 2010, with an office in Milton Keynes. The company has expressed confidence in the future of the nation's PV market despite the “continuing debate over government subsidies”.
