Principal Solar, Inc. (PSI, Dallas, TX, US) a publicly traded solar power company building a utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) portfolio, on May 11th, 2015 announced that it has contracted Alpha Energy (Phoenix, Arizona), as its engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) partner to build its Principal Sunrise IV PV project located in Cumberland County.

 

100 MW PV project has a fully executed 15-year PPA with Duke Energy

The PV project, with a capacity of 100 MW, will be the largest solar facility east of the Rockies. Principal Sunrise IV has a fully executed 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Duke Energy to purchase 100 percent of the solar power produced.
