Power2Drive, the new exhibition for e-mobility and charging technology will celebrate its debut from June 20–22, 2018 in Munich.

Power2Drive Europe will be held concurrently with Intersolar Europe, ees Europe and EM-Power, the new industry platform for intelligent energy use in buildings, under the umbrella of The smarter E. Thus starting in 2018, exhibitors and visitors will have access to four parallel energy exhibitions at a single location in Munich.

Electric vehicles are becoming increasingly popular: According to the latest report by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the number of electric vehicles around the globe exceeded two million in 2016. This development was primarily driven by China, the United States, Japan and several European countries. A total of 50 million electric vehicles are expected on roads worldwide by 2030. Due to the growing appeal of electric vehicles, a comprehensive charging infrastructure is needed. The market volume is expected to exceed 45 billion US dollars in 2025.

This is precisely where Power2Drive comes in. The new platform for the future presents solutions and technologies related to e-mobility and charging infrastructure, thereby showcasing how electric vehicles can be the perfect complement to a sustainable and environmentally friendly energy supply.

The exhibition is the industry meeting point for suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and startups in the emerging area of e-mobility and transportation. Visitors include players from the automotive and energy supply industry as well as commercial customers, fleet operators, and representatives from cities and communities. Power2Drive offers them everything they need to know about the trends, developments and business models for a future-oriented and sustainable mobility, with a particular focus on traction batteries for electric vehicles as well as infrastructure solutions and technologies for clean mobility.

Together with the new EM-Power, which will also debut in 2018, Power2Drive expands the event portfolio of the established Intersolar and ees Europe exhibitions. All events will take place from June 20–22, 2018 in Munich. In the coming year, the four exhibitions will be held together for the first time under the new umbrella brand The smarter E. A total of 50,000 exhibitors and 1,200 visitors from 165 countries are expected.
