VDE, Fraunhofer ISE and ERI@N are launching a global energy storage initiative

VDE Renewables, the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE and the Energy Research Institute (ERI@N) of Nanyang Technological University Singapore (NTU) today announced the launch of the Global Energy Storage Competence Cluster (GECC) at the Asia Clean Energy Summit in Singapore.

As a result, VDE Renewables is expanding its test and certification product portfolio for energy storage products and systems at an international level, while at the same time fulfilling all requirements at local level.

With laboratories in Asia, Germany and the USA, including the new VDE Prime Lab Singapore, VDE Renewables and Fraunhofer support ISE customers along the entire value chain - from applied research and development to component and system consulting, Commercialization right up to premium certification. The VDE Prime Lab in Singapore offers not only the entire range of the VDE test and certification portfolio, but also test methods according to local and regional standards. These include system inspections in the field and the support of quality assurance during the implementation and commissioning phases as well as the monitoring of the plants.
